One of the things I love most about running Wedding Style File is the opportunity to connect with some extremely creative, talented and inspiring people who are making things happen in the wedding industry. The East Coast Bride is no exception; otherwise known as Keri and Krista, these brides turned bloggers are the brains behind one insanely gorgeous blog chock full of ideas and inspiration for East Coast weddings. You may recognize them from their recent appearance on Style Me Pretty, which, as any wedding blogger can tell you, is major. Naturally, I am thrilled to be joining them as a guest blogger. Head on over to check out Wedding Style File: East Coast Edition. The East Coast Bride is such a treat, I promise you’ll be glad you stopped by!

If you’re the kind of bride who mutters “pitiful fools” at the sight of a poofy princess dress and won’t even consider walking down the aisle without a Vera Wang mermaid gown and sparkly Loubs, have I got a treat for you! Behold Ciaté Caviar Manicure, available for $25 at Sephora. Developed in London, the nail kit features 3D pearlescent beads in an assortment of shades (“Black Pearl”, “Mother of Pearl” and “Strawberry Milkshake”). Talk about ring ready!
What do you think? Would you consider a Caviar manicure for your wedding day, or prefer to make a statement with hot pink or electric blue nail polish instead? Or are both too much? Should brides just stick with a good ol’ French mani? Comment below or tweet @RachelCravit!

When Carrie Bradshaw married Mr.Big in her blue Manolo Blahniks, it was a visionary fashion statement, empowering the bravest of brides to “step” out of the ordinary and leave their dyeable satin pumps in the dust. Four years later, blue wedding shoes have become as common as a Kardashian court filing. This doesn’t faze true fashionistas, who are looking for new ways to express their style and originality. One of my new faves? Skyscraper platform pumps, like these babies from B Brian Atwood. With a modern, architectural edge, they’re arguably just as fierce as the bride who’s wearing them.
Not to worry, I’ve tracked down some equally enviable platform pumps for you to strut down the aisle in.
Charlotte Olympia Dolly Metallic Leather Slingbacks, $905 from Net-a-Porter
Vera Wang Lavender Zoey Patent Platform Pump, $199 from Last Call by Neiman Marcus
Betsey Johnson Vollume Platform Pumps, $126 from Macy’s
B Brian Atwood Francoise Crystal-Detail Suede Platform Pump, $395 from Neiman Marcus
BCBGMAXAZRIA Foster Platform Pump, $175 from Last Call by Neiman Marcus
Happy Shoesday Tuesday! May the force “B” with you!

For many a bride, nail polish is a white tipped afterthought, taking the back seat to chignons, lipstick and eye shadow. While French manicures certainly have their place, an unexpected pop of colour can amount to killer style.
