When I was a little girl, my grandmother bought me a ruffly party dress on one of her trips to Mexico. It was red, white and glorious. Naturally, I became completely obsessed with it. I wore it everywhere, even inappropriate places, like the beach or the grocery store. Eventually, the poor thing whittled down to a thread. It’s still recovering in the back of my closet somewhere.
Needless to say, when I grew up and became a wedding blogger, I developed a serious crush on ruffly bridal gowns, and their ruler, Oscar de la Renta.
