Welcome from Rachel Cravit, Editor/Creator
Pour yourself a glass of vino, kick off your stilettos and get comfy: you’ve found Wedding Style File! Wedding Style File is a virtual glossy devoted to insanely stylish weddings. It’s a place to scour for ideas and inspiration, indulge in delectable details, gorge on visual splendor and ultimately rejoice in the creative life that weddings inspire.
Here’s what you’ll find:
- Oodles of eye candy ranging from colour palettes to inspiration boards and all the itty bitty details in between
- Full-blown style guides to get your creative juices flowing and show you how to style a unique celebration from scratch
- Real weddings of the particularly jaw-dropping variety. If you’re interested in submitting a wedding, please click here.
- Meticulously researched Vendor Guide with hand-picked recommendations by yours truly
- Big, bright, beautiful images. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve spotted a delicious wedding detail trapped inside a teeny photo that proved ultimately useless. Trust me, I get it. I’m a visual person (my eye doctor even told me that I have “greater visual demands than most people.” I’m not even kidding). I spend just as much time sourcing images as I do writing posts and try my best to deliver the highest quality stuff I can get my hands on.
- The odd personal anecdote, like how I became a closet wedding junkie and lived in fear for several years that my friends would find out and think I was totally lame.
- Shoes. Lots of shoes.
Here’s what you won’t find:
- Engagement photos. You’re here to locate that perfect peach-pink hue of garden rose, not gawk at some couple who you don’t even know posing happily on a tandem bicycle with fake mustaches and a heart-shaped balloon.
- Black and white images (or at least not many). While I do occasionally find an inspiring black and white wedding portrait, I’m a colour person. I pretty much need to be strapped down to a couch to make it through a black and white film. I will try to spare you similar agony on Wedding Style File, unless I spot something that’s just too good not to share.
- Crappy products. I’m just as picky about the ads I put on Wedding Style File as the content itself, which means no links to that knock-off Vera Wang dress factory in China (eww). If you see an ad or banner for someone, it means they’ve got good stuff.
- Sneaky products. All sponsored posts will be clearly indicated in the title. Sponsored posts will NOT be accepted from brands who do not reflect Wedding Style File’s commitment to quality and aesthetic. Credibility amongst brides is top priority for Wedding Style File and I will never recommend a product unless I would be equally comfortable gushing about it to my girlfriends over Starbucks.
Other items of note:
- All images featured on Wedding Style File have been credited to the best of my ability. Sometimes, however, I am unable to locate the photographer (this is particularly true of stuff on Pinterest or tumblr). In such cases, Wedding Style File will indicate where the image was found, in lieu of the photographer’s name. If you’re a photographer and spot a piece of your work credited this way, please e-mail rachel {dot} cravit {at} gmail {dot} com and your name will be added immediately. Wedding Style File is here to share and inspire, not rip off other people’s work. If you prefer a photo not be used by Wedding Style File, please get in touch at the same address and it will be removed.
- Wedding Style File’s logo is copyrighted and may not be used without permission.
- Wedding Style File’s custom theme and logo were created by Laura Jane Designs.
- Wedding Style File is written primarily in ‘Alice’ font designed by Ksenia Erulevich, courtesy of Google Web Fonts.

Rachel
This blog is joyfully dedicated to my parents David Cravit and Cynthia Ross Cravit, whose love and creativity inspire me every single day, and my grandmother Lois Ross, who fills the world with light and lessons (and first showed me how to use oil pastels).
Wedding Style File is also written in memory of my late grandmother Ruth Lappin Cravit, who saw the beauty everywhere.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to my family and friends who have shown such love and support for this project and for whom I am incredibly thankful.
